 Most People say that I am CrazyI have been asked, Ken, why do you do this. First, let me remind everyone that Jesus is the reason for the season! We need to give him thanks and praise. Without him, we are nothing. I think that the main reason for the display is that God has blessed my family so much, that I want to give back to the community. If I can make 1 person smile or become happy for only an instant, then all of the efforts and hours spent are well worth it.Why letters to the soldiers?Our prayers are that every soldier comes home safely. Almost everyone has a relative or close friend that has served or is currently serving in the military. We need to let the soldiers know that we support them 100% and are very proud of them! Many people may not agree with the current war, but our soldiers are performing their duties. If we can make only 1 person realize that we are praying for them, then it may touch their life. Remember it is the small things in life that we remember.We need your help.I am very proud to say that we received a beautiful card today from a young girl. I know that it will touch someone's life. Our Goal is to send 250 cards and letters to our troops. If possible, please put a card or very simple letter in the mailbox in the front yard. We appreciate it! |
